Abusive Pricing?

Jason Calconis has a funny post about a hotel charging $2.80 for a cup of coffee. I’m not sure how much you get to complain about coffee when you have a $400 hotel room, but the point is legit. People hate to feel gouged. The real gems are in the comments, however. Many readers point out that most people staying in these places are on an expense account, although that doesn’t explain the $5 popcorn at the movies. My favorite comment was from a guy who ended up paying $15 for an apple at a hotel because he ordered it as room service, instead of walking down to the lobby and picking one out of the bowl at the reception desk.
