This Mimiran privacy policy attempts to explain how Mimiran uses personal information, what information Mimiran collects, how you can opt-out, and how Mimiran users and customers can use Mimiran to comply with GDPR.

About Mimiran

Mimiran is an application that helps companies generate leads and close deals. Mimiran also operates a public website.

Data Controllers and Processors

When you visit a Mimiran website, use Mimiran software, either as a user or prospect of Mimiran, Mimiran acts as both the data controller and data processor.

When you interact with Mimiran as the prospect, customer, or client of a Mimiran user, that user is the data controller, and Mimiran is the data processor.

Data Collected About Web Visitors

If you visit a Mimiran web page, Mimiran tracks basic analytics, including browser and device information– a standard way to evaluate and improve website performance. This information may be collected by third parties, such as Google Analytics.

Data Collected About Mimiran Users

If you log in to a Mimiran account, Mimiran has your email address, by definition. Mimiran may also store your name. Mimiran also tracks the IP address of requests to the system, and information about the browser or device used. This is to understand usage of the system to provision resources effectively, and to make sure that your Mimiran experience is good on your system. Mimiran only stores a hashed (encrypted) version of your password.

This information is necessary to communicate with you, including notifications of important sales activity in your account, password resets, billing notices, and customer support. This may involve your information being stored or processed by other parties’ systems, including analytics systems to measure application usage, performance, or general effectiveness. It does not involve the selling, renting, or usage of your data by those parties for other purposes.

In the event of a valid subpoena or other lawful demand from authorities, Mimiran may furnish information to those authorities, as needed and/or to attorneys or other parties necessary to protect you and/or Mimiran.

Billing Information

If you are a Mimiran customer, Mimiran collects your billing information and passes it securely to the payment processor, using standard SSL encryption. Mimiran does not store your actual payment information. (Mimiran does store the last 4 digits of your credit card to make customer service easier.)

Data Collected About Mimiran’s Customers’ Prospects and Clients (“Prospects”)

Mimiran users may enter personal information into their Mimiran accounts, and they may use Mimiran to gather contact information from their websites.

In these cases, Mimiran supports users’ ability to modify, export, and delete your contact information. Mimiran also tracks the source of contact information if became a contact of a Mimiran user by entering information into a form on the user’s website.

Note that the user may combine this information with information from other sources.

As part of providing the Mimiran service, Mimiran tracks prospects’ activity in the application, including IP address, browser, and device information. This may involve your information being stored or processed by other parties’ systems, including analytics systems to measure application usage, performance, or general effectiveness.

By its very purpose, Mimiran processes personal information. That’s why people use it.

Mimiran processes Personal Information as a data controller and data processor, where such processing is in Mimiran and our customers’ legitimate interests and not overridden by your data protection interests or fundamental rights and freedoms. Legitimate interests typically include: improving, maintaining, providing, and enhancing the technology, products and services; ensuring the security of the Services and our Website; and for our marketing activities.

Data Protection Rights

You may request that your data controller, whether Mimiran or a Mimiran customer, protect your data rights by:

• Correcting or requesting your personal information.
• Requesting the deletion of  your data or halting data processing (as long as such a request does not violate other requirements, such as financial or contractual obligation, such as if Mimiran stores a proposal or contract signed by you).
• You have the right to complain to the appropriate data protection authority.

When Mimiran is the data controller, you can contact support@mimiran.com to handle these situations. When Mimiran is the data processor, contact the Mimiran user who is the data controller.

Data Security and Location

Mimiran uses appropriate and reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect Personal Information from loss, misuse, unauthorized access, disclosure, alteration, and destruction, taking into account the risks involved in the processing and the nature of the Personal Information.

Access to Mimiran data in users’ accounts is restricted by password. It is the user’s responsibility to use strong passwords and prevent unauthorized use of that login information. Note that Mimiran only stores a hashed (encrypted) version of users’ passwords, so Mimiran cannot view or resend users’ passwords. (If you forget your password, you can request a password reset.)

Mimiran processes information in the United States, but may decide to process information in other locations, as needed to properly run the service.
